Impact Vest for Surfers with Pace Makers

For my surprise, after an extensive internet search, there is no evidence of a vest designed for Pace Maker patients that wants to continue surfing. I decided to buy an impact vest for kite surfing which have the less flotation to perform some custom adjustments. I bought an Ion impact vest and removed the back and side EVA panels. Only leaving the chest panels. This way the device and collar bone area are protected. I hope that this information can help other surfers that have this device implanted. Surfing and nature energy is vital for our heart. Enjoy the ride!

Morning Paddle

After 6 weeks of cardiac rehabilitation secondary to an implanted pacemaker due to a congenital electrical heart disease, finally, back in the water. Starting with my SUP, then surfing. After an extensive research, there is no vest design for protection in people with my condition. The only resource is an kitesurfing impact vest, to protect my electronic device. Thank God that I will be able to continue in my beloved sport of Kings. As always, enjoy your ride!
