LORD KELLY STRIKES AGAIN

THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE

Kelly Slater air. Photo: D. Bahn

As we all know Sir Kelly Slater conquest his 6th Hurley Pro in Tresles California and his 50th WCT title. His consolidation as the greatest athlete of all time is unquestionable. Mantaining his competitive level at 40 y/o is incomparable in any sport. What is great is his open mind in experimentation with the wave vehicles. Another win in a quad mode and another win in a EPS epoxy construction. As Reno Albeira mentioned, " small, wide and light, equals speed performance. FOR ALL WHO LIKE TO SURF, WE SALUTE YOU!

This is not new, is an old concept that died in the 80's. Tried in surfboard bottom surfaces, but was a nightmare for glassers  and sanders. Any irregular topography can produce better cavitation, less drag and lift. Never gloss a  water contact surface. Surf with your head not with your eyes, a happy medium can be a winner. Enjoy the ride!
