THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE
The "King" show today in the US Open of Surfing that age is not a factor. He just blazed over surfers over 10 year younger than him. As a physician studies reveal that athletes achieve their top physical condition and capabilities in the mid 30's, but I think that Kelly will beat that statistics. His commitment to focus in his health, physical conditioning and think outside the box make him unique in the group of athletes that in sport history achieved a top level status. Not only his surfing habilities, also his projection to the youth as a role model is invaluable. The Alternative Surf Culture gives a well diserved tribute to the " King", 10x World ASP World Champion, Sir Kelly Slater.
