THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE

Crystal Voyager from Mollusk Surf Shop on Vimeo.

George Greenough is one of the most influential surfers of our time. His research give us the flex fin, studying the Tunas and its hydrodynamic fins in high velocity changes. As Simmon's, his famous spoon give the hydrodynamic advantage of low rocker and the magic of its flex wih thin rails for sensitivity. His style as Lis redefined surfing and produce the contemporary short board revolution up to our days. His simplicity in life make me jealous. Design, nature research  and the joy of surfing. Enjoy the ride!

KELLY SLATER, THE BEST SURFER OF ALL TIME, PERIOD!

Slater no Deserto from Grupo Sal on Vimeo.

THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE

The "King" show today in the US Open of Surfing that age is not a factor. He just blazed over surfers over 10 year younger than him. As a physician studies reveal that athletes achieve their top physical condition and capabilities in the mid 30's, but I think that Kelly will beat that statistics. His commitment to focus in his health, physical conditioning and think outside the box make him unique in the group of athletes that in sport history achieved a top level status. Not only his surfing habilities, also his projection to the youth as a role model is invaluable. The Alternative Surf Culture gives a well diserved tribute to the " King", 10x World ASP World Champion, Sir Kelly Slater.

HYDRODYNAMICS NEVER FAILS

THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE

HANSOME+PERFORMANCE - Sea Movies from http://vimeo.com/apeel on Vimeo.

The work of young shaper/surfer, Daniel Thomson as a collaborator of Hydrodynamica project reveals that quantitative theories of Physics never fails. Entropy as defined by the Campbells brothers is the result of Hydrodynamics, concentrating the use use of pure nature energy. This means less effort by the pilot. His designs show us that using the correct curves, concaves and fins produce a fast control sliding machine. Small, light, wide surface slide better and faster. Enjoy the ride!
