SPHERICAL ROCKER, THE FUTURE?

THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE

The Stretch Interview Pt 2 "Rocker" from Tim Marshall on Vimeo.

I had the honor of meeting "Stretch" at the Del Mar Sacred Craft Surf Expo in San Diego. This guy have enough time to share with us his unique surfboard construction and concepts of sliding vehicles. In this video he explain a very interesting and logical definition of his theory in using spherical rocker on his boards. This help to the vertical surfing that the majority of surfers like, but he make clear that parabolic rocker have the place for the classic perpendicular surfing. Been unique and thinking out of the box ends in better equipment and a future to be. See the video and enjoy the ride!

THE ALTERNATIVE SURF CULTURE

The lines and curves that Neal Purchase sculpt in a blank show an optical functional creation, better with four fins. The placement of fins are on the rail, also a larger front fin is evident. Love this lines, enjoy the ride!

RICH PAVEL WAVE SLIDING VEHICLES

Rich Pavel has been one of the most influential shapers of the fish evolution. His master project was the Speed Dialer. Inspired in Lis Fish and hydrodynamic theories , this knowledge fusion in to this wave sliding machine. Fuller parallel outline, double to single concave , his canard quad fins (binary fision of the Keel Fin), double wings and the classic swallow tail defines this design.
I have the pleasure to meet him in San Diego at the Sacred Craft Expo. When I told him that I made the trip from Puerto Rico, he was surprised and inmmediately told me " I know that you also have a Rincon but with warm water" ,this brake the ice. This guy dedicate his time to teach me about the basis of hydrodynamics asymmetry in a very simple way to be understanded by a mortal. His contribution to the evolution of the modern high performance fish is written in the history of surfing. Thank's Rich and enjoy the ride!
